Dear colleagues,

It is with great privilege and pleasure we invite you on behalf of the Union of Associations of Psychotherapeutics Organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), to a first Congress of Psychotherapists in BiH (with international participation). 

Congress will be held from 23. to 26. March.2023 at Hotel „Hills “in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina.

Our wish is to welcome you to this first-time event for psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic organizations in BiH, aiming to promote psychotherapy as an independent profession. We will use this forum to promote and strengthen scientific and research approaches in psychotherapy. We are hoping that the upcoming Congress will be recognized beyond our country borders as a significant and important scientific event.  

The times we live in are challenging and demanding. We are observing developing and global societal transformation, that are influencing mental health of all populations. It is our aspiration to contribute to inclusive understandings of the times we are living in and working. 

These are some of the reasons we are choosing a theme of the first Congress of Psychotherapists in BiH: 

Psychotherapy within a  changing world 

We are hoping that the Congress will offer diverse and contemporary themes and speakers to support our professional work, as well as strengthen our specific influence. 

We believe that the Congress will offer valuable opportunity to psychotherapists and all interested professionals from the field of mental health for individuals, communities, and society from BiH and other countries. This event is an opportunity for open, scientific, and professional debate, as well as personal dialogue on philosophy, theory, practice, and research, in the felid of psychotherapy and its meaning in contemporary world.

Congress will be held during the springtime. We will use this opportunity to support blooming of the ideas, networking, and connections.
